There
are many people in this world that have different types of sexual orientation,
but what does that mean for them? Well it means that people look at them in a
different light, if someone says they are gay people are automatically judging
them, whether it be in their head or out loud to them. There are many movements
going on in our society today to help get equal rights for homosexual people.
Society is trying to join together for one cause that is helpful to a large
number of people, but what does it help if it`s just one group. There are many
types of sexuality, Asexual, Bisexual, Homosexual, and Heterosexual. Each of these
groups are looked at in different ways. Heterosexual is the norm that people
are totally cool with, but Homosexual, Bisexual, and Asexual are all something that
people look at with distaste like they are some kind of disease. In class we
talked about how the differences in these types of sexuality affect the way
that society functions. When someone says that they are gay, people kind of get
rocked in a whole new way and react in a negative way. There is nothing that people can really do to
help them move into a more comfortable place with these types of sexuality and
we just have to accept that. Although we are making such big progress in accepting
the fact that people are homosexual and have sexual attraction to the same sex,
there will always be people that are against this type of sexuality. Our
sexuality is our business unless people try to make it a big deal and then it
all gets put out there. Sex is the thing that makes us who we are and it makes
us feel like we are whole, so why should we hate on the people that are homosexual,
bisexual, or even asexual, just because they are trying to be happy?
